Thank You Tulsa: Over 1,000 Bikes For Kids

Everyone at K95.5 couldn’t be happier with our first annual Bikes for Kids Campaign, collecting more than 1,000 new bikes for kids in need in the Tulsa area this holiday season.

The campaign was the brainchild of K95.5 Morning Show Co-Host Natalie Cash, who lived on a 20-foot high scaffolding in a parking lot near the highway for the duration of the promotion.  She enlisted the help of station sponsors, family and friends and vowed not to come down and out of the cold until 955 new bikes were collected for local kids who might otherwise not receive a gift this year.  Cash, one-half of K95.5's Cash & Bradley Morning Show, broadcast live from the scaffolding for three days, finally exceeding the 955-bike goal on December 3rd.  At last count, the campaign had netted just over 1,000 bikes with additional donations still coming in.

Matt Bradley, Director of Branding and Programming for K95.5, was inspired by Cash’s commitment to the cause.  "Natalie stuck to her guns and never once considered coming down no matter how cold it got.” said Bradley.  So proud of my morning show partner for sticking it out and making so many children happy this Christmas!   We can’t thank our listeners and sponsors enough for helping to make this happen.”
The bikes that were collected have been distributed to a half-dozen local non-profits, including Big Brothers – Big Sisters of Oklahoma, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and several local Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaigns.
